Railway Services in Bangalore
There are two major railway stations in Bangalore - the Bangalore City railway station and the Bangalore Cantonment railway station. The Cantonment station is convenient for passengers in and around the M.G. Road area. The reservation system is computerized and you will have to fill out a form giving details of your destination and date of travel.
During the peak season, most routes are busy. It is therefore wiser to book your tickets in advance to avoid disappointment. The reservation and enquiry office is open from Monday to Saturday between 8 A.M. and 8 P.M. On Sundays, this office work from 8 A.M. to 2 P.M.
There are daily trains from Chennai, Hyderabad, Delhi, Mumbai, Kolkata, Mysore, Madurai, and Tirupati.
